When I used only one of the extensions (the longer one), it was too short, but when I used both extension pieces, it was too long (52" ;).

We also have a rounded banister, and plaster walls. They are all brightly colored to stand apart and accentuate the prospective danger that may exist.

In each position, some of the pressure pads were pressed against wood ( doorframe or newell post) but one had to be placed against a plaster wall.
